Simplicity be darned , I loved every minute of Hi - Fi upsurge ’s story . Yes , it is mostly easy to digest , and yes , it is wacky , cockamamie , and requires some abatement of skepticism , but the plot made me sense as though this was what it was trying to do . The game felt as though it did n’t require me to take the taradiddle , or any of it , too seriously , instead receive me on a journey through a fantastic rock’n’roll playlist while bashing robots to pieces .
Where the story lacks depth or ground information on characters , it does excel in telling the story of Vandelay Technologies , the evil capitalist organization I was task with bringing down . Through its villains , golem , and notepads strewn throughout levels , Tango Gameworks paid special attention to tarradiddle ground information and led me to really detest Vandelay and its drill .

Gameplay
Hi - Fi Rush ’s gameplay can be broken down into two class : platformingandcombat . Much of the plot will see you dash , jumping , and explore mostly linear levels with frequent open frame for a automaton do or a boss struggle .
First off , I must say that some of the platforming segment can be frustrative . In some areas , it felt as though the platforms were awkwardly space , making it so my jumping distance was just a little too much or just barely not enough to make my aim . Towards the closing of the game , a new mechanic is introduce that do sure platforming sections clip trials that I had to finish unless I want to fall to my death , and some of these sections give very little leeway in terms of time give . Overall , the platforming was honest , but these issues were irritating .
In contrast , the game ’s combat became very fun once I got the hang of it . Combat revolves around using the rhythm system , combos , and special moves . The speech rhythm scheme boost the combos and especial move , meaning that when I was on the beat , I was decimating my robot foes . However , if I panic and missed beat generation , I set about to get my butt kicked . This , along with the plus of enemies that need certain car-mechanic to defeat , made scrap dynamic , interesting , and play .
