And to celebrate , Square Enix is releasing a serial of scant stories about the ancients , and Venat , one of the players Allies in Endwalker .
The serial , title Tales from Dawn , is being host on the Final Fantasy XIVLodestonewebsite and will have four instalment . A Friendship of Record has been released today , with the next three releasing on subsequent Fridays . The web site even allows you to choose whether the story chuck you as a Male or Female Warrior of Light , let players to individualise the fib to their own grapheme .

The first story details how Venat and the archivist ’s un - sunder variety first met in Anamnesis Anyder .
