5. Silent Hill: Origins (2007)

The story of the Wii is littered with miss opportunity , but somehow this departure from theSilent Hillnorm work . The story has the trademark survival horror figure of speech and a twisting plot line filled with atmospheric state , alongsidea refreshing reimaginingof a proven formula . Flawed , but worthy .

For some , this was Silent Hill ’s finest hour . Graphical improvement ramped up the terror , and three unlike endings added replayability . But at just about five hour of gameplay , it needed that for the incorrect grounds . And it was a littletoo dark and unrelentingfor some .

The original , and for many still the best , Silent Hill position new standardsin the action mechanism - adventure horror musical genre . Creepy and unnerving , this was a really scary secret plan , especially enhanced by the Dual Shock controller ’s heartbeat effect . But it was a little flawed in the control department , which could lead to frustration breaking the atmospheric spell .
1. Silent Hill 2 (2001)
Silent Hill 2 did what the good sequel do , observe the highlights of the originaland building on them . The storytelling , intelligent , and artwork saw significant upgrades and there was enough of an uptick in gameplay quality to quiesce some of the earlier critics . No Silent Hill game was ever perfect , but on waiver , Silent Hill 2 delivered as much as anyone could ’ve expect .
